2009 AGM: Thanks for attending,  See you in 2010.

 

New bylaws were adopted by the membership of the Alberta Off Highway Vehicle Association at the Special General Meeting held in Rocky Mountain House on November 22, 2009.  Highlights of those new bylaws are listed below.

2009 AOHVA  Bylaw Highlights

·         The AOHVA will become Club (an all-terrain vehicle or off-road motorcycle group or organization) oriented and membership will be through the clubs.

·         Members will only be admitted by meeting the requirements set out and favourable vote of the Board of Directors.

·         The province will be divided into 5 regions where each region will have 2 Directors and 2 Alternates for ATV and ORM club membership.

·         The Board of Directors may suspend or expel a member for any cause which is deemed contrary to the interests of AOHVA

·         Clarity on the Governance of the AOHVA:

o   Powers and duties of the Board of Directors

o   Election Procedures

o   Resignation or removal of a Director or Alternate

o   Board meeting procedures

o   Duties of the Officers

o   Resignation or removal of Officers procedures

o   General Procedures of Committees including Executive Committee

·         Financial and Management Matters

·         Procedures for Amending Bylaws
